@Edward: Scanning through that new version of the Assembly Guide, it still mentions Slip Joint pliers being included. Is that still the case?

Asking because they definitely weren't included with mine, and the box didn't seem to have any obvious unfilled spots in the packing layout. ;)

Scanned through it further... and the new version of the guide is pretty impressive. Very clear, good use of colour for things, and lot of images showing stuff from different angles. Well done. :D

I viewed briefly and I think this is very clear to assemble the Shapeoko 3, so nice!
Please go finish soon, I am waiting for this complete manual published.

BTW, I had to do a bit grindings at each holes of stepping motors, so maybe you should mention about those modification possibility.

I'm seeing 22 of 36 (per Index) pages. They look good but I really want to see those other 14 pages.

Beautiful and useful instructions. Can I nitpick? On page 12, there are two ovelapping guide lines (the blue and green standoffs on the far side). Other than that, the diagrams are quite clear.

Wow! These look fantastic! Kudos to all those involved; you can tell a lot of work has gone into these. Thanks for releasing these early, I love the preview.

Just a quick note to those of you who have not yet assembled your oko3 yet. I wish I had installed the router bracket in the upper holes, you can drop the router down in the bracelet but you are limited as to how far you can raise the router. If you use a waste board and your work piece you could be looking at a 11/2" added thickness from the original board.

It's possible (annoying, but possible) to switch that without disassembling the X/Z carriage.

This is looking great! I was going to assemble my SO3 off the original assembly instructions, and just refer to this new revision for hints, but I see that there are a lot of new assembly tricks (which bolts to tighten vs. leave loose, etc.) that make me want to wait for this new one to be completed.

A quick observation: The original assembly instructions indicate that 2 Y-axis plates need to be constructed, with one being a mirror-image of the other. In this new manual, pages 8-10 show how to assemble only 1 plate, and then page 11 shows mounting the left and right plates to the gantry. It might be helpful to put a comment into this new manual that the steps on pages 8-10 must be repeated, in a mirrored fashion, for the second Y plate.

Just noticed a small formatting issue with some of the footers. Example below:
