Re: 3D model of Shapeoko 3
Sorry this has taken so long - I'll get these all bundled up soon.
Until then, here's the spindle mount plate and the Y carriage and the extrusion profile.

Re: 3D model of Shapeoko 3
Jay, what license are you releasing those models under? Something that allows commercial usage?
I'm kinda thinking CC-SA might be optimal for encouraging people to contribute back any changes... but open hardware licensing isn't a topic I understand in huge depth yet. Might need to bump it up the priority list of things to investigate.

Those are free as in free beer.
I simply wish there would be a github for the shapeoko 3, with a master branch being the official stuff from Carbide 3D and branches made by contibutors.
However, my 3D models cannot overwride the copyright of Carbide 3D's work. I simply made 3D models based on their released documentation and thus, my work should follow the same model.
In other words, they released 2D pdf files of their components, I just translated them in 3D.

Re: 3D model of Shapeoko 3
No worries. Looks like I'll need to make my own models then, as I need them.

Under the CC BY-NC which is the copyright used in Carbide's PFS, it means:AnonymousPerson wrote:No worries. Looks like I'll need to make my own models then, as I need them.
