Thread Lock
Thread Lock
Any tips on where people are applying the thread lock. Are you applying it everywhere, nowhere until something needs it or just certain places. I wasn't sure it was a great idea to apply it until I got things squared up but then its really a bit to late as well.

Re: Thread Lock
I didn't use any.
Hoping to lay in a full stock of nyloc fasteners when I upgrade --- if anything works loose twice before upgrading I'll move that up my priority list.
My suggestion would be to:
- assemble
- test
- square
- then apply thread lock if one must, to one fastener at a time so as to maintain squareness _if_ one isn't going to upgrade, or _if_ one is confident of being able to break the connection if one needs to

Re: Thread Lock
I would put it on everything which will not require an adjustment. Will go back and add where necessary after it is running.
I don't see the need to add to the aluminum extrusions fasteners if torqued properly.

Re: Thread Lock
I'd stick with purple thread lock if you do, or blue at the strongest.
