Windows was unable to install your shapeoke 3

Post by franazzo » Sat May 09, 2015 4:02 am

As serial # 0069 :-) finally I have my Shapeoko 3 all nicely together. I doubled checked everything and connected all wires and cables.
I downloaded "Easel local 0.2.1", connected the USB cable to my PC and clickt on "CARVE" in my Easel program and nothing is happening! :-(
Are there any sketches or any instruction for all the steps to follow after the assembly is done?
Thanks

You want to install Carbide Motion. Mentioned here: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... l_Software

Available for download here: http://carbide3d.com/downloads/

Notes (copied from the wiki):
The default control program for the Shapeoko 3, any G-code sender which will communicate w/ Grbl will work.[4] Written using QT frameworks. Available for Windows 7 and later, Mac OS X 10.7 and later. New beta supports Shapeoko[5]
Type L at the main screen for a log window, M for an "MDI" window which allows manually interacting w/ Grbl.[6] If you have selected 1/8 micro-stepping, send $100=40.0 and $101=40.0 and $102=40.0 to set the steps for micro-stepping for X-, Y- and Z-axes respectively.
Once you’ve got that and the driver which it installs installed you should be able to use your choice of Communication / Control software (Easel should then be able to connect).
