I have a Makita router and a SO3 I had a Dell laptop I'm not going into detail with the computer because I replaced ole girl shes about 12 yrs old. I bought a Toshiba Satellite C55-B5242X, Intel Pentium N3540, 15.6" Laptop With 4GB Memory, 750GB Hard Drive, Windows 10
15.6" Intel Pentium Laptop

•Processor: Intel Pentium N3540
•Memory: 4GB
•Display: 15.6" Screen
•Storage Drive: 750GB Hard Drive
•Optical Drive: DVDRW
•Ports: HDMI
•Operating System: Windows? 10
•Model: Toshiba Satellite C55-B5242X
•PLU# 8591989

the problem I'm having is that the router will run about 3min then stop. Ill look at the computer (Toshiba) and it said GRBL error. I have separated the receptacle they are not on the same circuit. I also ran a designated line to the router from my loadcenter I'm running 120v 15amps 60Hz. what I think it might be a frequency interference. I can run the program with the router off but as soon as I turn it on three minutes later bam its stops. yes the Dell did the same. yes I downloaded the new carbide motion software

I bought an usb isolator and my problems with carbide motion loosing connection seems to be fixed. Not sure if it's the same issue you have though.

I'm glad to say these guys at Carbide 3D Shapeoko worked fast to get me a usb isolator and I haven't had a problem. I'm back in business.
I emailed support@carbide3d.com my problem and they sent me the isolator and my shapeoko is running fine now.
