I noted that other(s) have had the issue of the z axis slipping back under the tension of the springs. In my case,
the Z axis slammed back so hard to "0" that it destroyed the limit switch. Machine is shapeoko 3 only about ~1 month old
Where does one find spare replacement parts? Is there a digikey part number for the swithch?
I can just resolder if I can find the right one that fits the hole pattern etc.

Yes, the one Will referenced is the correct part number.
