* I may have this in the wrong forum as this is not a S3
Hello all,
I have a question about upgrading the hardware by replacing the makerslide components that my gantry runs on. The Y-axis in my machine. This appears to be just two makerslides back to back bolted together. Currently the Y is 7.4". I want to make it 1000mm. Am I assuming correctly that swapping out the makerslide and longer drive belt is all that is needed? Do I need to be concerned with rigidity or the like? My thoughts are if the wiring it long enough it should be fairly straight forward after I make a new base/bed/table/whatchcallit that is square and level.
Are there any common concerns I should know about before taking my working machine apart? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the links. It was great to see the process done on my actual machine from when the previous owner did it.WillAdams wrote:That's pretty much it
