HipStreet Win 8 tablet now HipStreet Win 10 tablet

Well I thought if I could update my Win 8 tablet to Win 10 then the rest of my computers would be a piece of cake.

The update went flawlessly. I think it actually runs a bit faster. Make sure to remove the setup files and old windows data to reclaim storage space. Still playing with the new OS but I feel it works just fine on the tablet.

Do a custom install and turn off all the tracking that MS wants to do.

BTW am writing this up on the tablet.

Wanted to do a quick update. I have not found any issues yet. Been able to run everything I throw at it. Still can run the S2 with all the old software.

Win10 is actually starting to grow on me. Next is to play with the new 3D printing options built into the software.

I've got the HP Stream 7 and am waiting on the notice to upgrade to Windows 10. UPDATE...I went ahead and forced the update (instructions at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p6c ... AFt20/edit). Update went fine and Win10 seems to be working perfectly. Now to get used to the interface. One change seems to be you can select tablet or PC mode. The overall interface seems to be more straightforward.
No longer have a Shapeoko, but use a machine of my own design...
