$78.00 10" Windows 10 tablet at Walmart

Post by halfnormal » Sun May 15, 2016 2:50 pm

I found a RCA Cambio 10.1" 2-in-1 Tablet 32GB Intel Atom Z3735F Quad-Core Processor Windows 10 at Walmart for $78. It includes a keyboard with touchpad. It was on the website but not on display in the store. I asked for them to check under the tablet display and they found it. Not all stores have it in stock. The Walmart website will tell you if it is in stock. Make sure you search for the $78.00 price. For some reason it will show up for $99.00 on their site. I have found it very snappy and the display is very good at all angles. The best part is that it sports a full size USB connection.

Thanks for the tip! I picked one up yesterday for $59. Surprisingly nice for the money.

Please update us on what software you used and how it performed if you are using this as your g-code sender.

My plan is to use it with Universal GCode Sender, which installed and ran without issue.

How did you find the $78 dollar tablet...all I'm finding is the $99.98 tablet?

Seems to be a loss-leader item which had limited initial stock at each store and may be sold out already (the three stores near me are sold out).

There are two still in stock at a store vaguely near me. I'll grab my card tonight and check it out tomorrow.

Did a search for "cambino" on the walmart site. There's two listed (when I looked just now), one's 99, the other says in stores only, without a price. Click that dude, and it comes up (for me anyway) as $59, giving stock of the local stores. When I picked mine up the other day, there was 4 reported on the website, but there had to be a dozen actually in the store. Sticker in the store said $78. Best of luck!

I picked up one at the local Walmart super center yesterday for $59. It was a rollback price so check your local Walmart http://www.walmart.com/browse/electroni ... =brand:RCA and it's the In Stores Only unit. You can then check to see if your local Walmart has one in stock. I got the last one at my Walmart.

Apologize for the tangent: Does anyone know if these have NFC reading capability? I have a manufacturing client looking to do a proof of concept with NFC tags and they prefer Windows devices to Android devices. I could get Nexus 7 2013 in the neighborhood of $130, but these would really fit the bill if they're RFID capable.
