In between there are long male headers.

Sorry, that's what I meant. The extra tall male headers.
Build it better than it was built for you. And give permission for the next guy to do the same. That's how Open Source works.

I think rs-online. Normaly I don't order them. My college does this. Search for 36way header. You can select different sizes.

I made a new design of with just one PCB. It consists of the optocouplers in combination the FTDI board you can buy ad ebay. It's the same module used by Godsplan.

The schematic:

And the 3D image from SketchUp. Made possible by EagleUp.

If some one wants the Eagle files. Let me know. I will place them in a new post.

hey does the optocoupler solution and FTDI board mix work? I couldn't test it yet.

could you post your eagle code? (brd and sc), good looking design!

I have done the test with the optocoupler, a 6N139, and the test was great.
Here is a photo form the test with a serial LCD screen:

Hello JuiceBox,

I will place the .sch and .brd here on the form the same as I did for the "All in One" solution. You can order the PCB where you want.

Maby it's better to start a GitHub for eagle projects that have GRBL solutions. Than people like Xpix, Cvoinescu, Godsplan, you and me can have direct acces to the new boards. And have there inputs for new versions
