Will - Thanks for the info and the nice build log. You meant (above) to say the Phidgets NEMA-17 motors are actually 1.8 degrees, right? Sorry for being

Now I'll ask a (potentially) ignorant question:

Besides the obvious 2x resolution, is there a noticeable difference in quality between 1.8 and 0.9 degrees? Especially give the fact that controllers have micro-stepping capability...

Does anyone know where to get some 5m standoff spacers for Nema 23 motor setup? ? for belt on the outside? I can only find 3m. I saw someone used a #10 3/4 in aluminum spacer and then drilled out the threads... was seeing if anybody knew a way around that.

Unthreaded #10 spacers should fit M5 in most cases. Inventables sell 1/4" nylon spacers, and I have both 1/4" and 3/4" in my store. The spacers are extremely light, so I can post them worldwide. Use the 'contact me' link at the bottom, tell me how many you need, and I'll give you the postage cost. I will also have 1" spacers in a few days.
