You can clear that by sending these two commands:
$N0=
$N1=

They are garbage in the EEPROM area reserved for the startup commands.

Clearing EEPROM and reflashing 0.8 worked. Now easel stopped working with grbl 0.8, saying the machine is not found. Will try ot figure out how to reinstall the "helper" app uses.

I was getting some trash at startup and this cleared it up. Thanks!
