Post by Zeem » Fri Jan 20, 2017 7:36 pm

Hello ,

I need an advice as i have Nema 23 Unipolar stepper motor with 6 wire leads and rated current 2A/Phase
and the motor has 4 phrases .

Then i want convert it to bipolar stepper motor as you see in image .

So my question is when i joined the two phrases to each other that's will double current or not for the motor ?

As long as you're sure there isn't any internal connection between the n/c wires, you should be able to use the other four with a bipolar stepper driver. Never tried it though, so YMMV.
