Shapeoko 3 movement of the Z axis

Post by edruiz » Mon Aug 21, 2017 8:49 pm

Hi,
I recently finished assembling my shapeoko 3 and at the moment of testing the movement of the stepper motors with the jog function in the program Carbide motion the motor of the Z axis did not move. I have already checked the connection and everything is according to the assembly guide. After that I tried changing the conector between the X and Z motors and the Z motor moved but the X motor didn’t, so the motor is working fine but I don't know what could be wrong with the connection of the Z motor in the controller board.

Does anyone know what else can I try to solve the problem?

Thank you.

If you have an XL or XXL, also swap out the extension wiring to test it.

Once you now which part is bad, contact support@carbide3d.com w/ your order/serial # / date of order (or using the e-mail you used to purchase the machine) and we'll work out how to get you the replacement part.
