Carbide Motion Board Upgrade?

Post by cmkelly01 » Thu Aug 30, 2018 9:14 pm

I have an older Shapeoko 3 with A Carbide Motion V2.2 board. I am doing some upgrades, and I'm considering upgrading to the newest version board (2.4d, I think). Can anyone tell me the differences between the two versions, or point me to the answer? The newer board has to be better, but I can't find any comparisons. Thanks.

The newer board has:

- increased EMI resistance
- lights for homing switch testing

That's pretty much it. Contact us at if you need to buy one. Another alternative if you're willing to rework the connectors is a Stepoko board from Sparkfun for a fully opensource system.
