FreeCad Tutorial...

Post by AtomSoft » Sun May 20, 2012 11:15 pm

Ok i think i learned enough of freecad to create a small tutorial. Anyone interested? Its actually easy to do.

I can make one of these fairly easy... in about 10 minutes or so...

Its a "Pillow-Block Linear Ball Bearings"

Or if you have a suggestion perhaps i can try it and if i can do it, i will make a tutorial :)

FYI. When someone is willing to help/teach me I don't "bust" them for making an error, I thank them for sharing their knowledge

ok this is going to be more of a walk through of how i did it... heh

Its way easier in Solidworks. But i guess if i make a script or something it would be way better.

DO NOT CONSIDER THIS THE TUTORIAL. more of a proof of work. FreeCAD in my opinion is kind of buggy and too picky. Also some clicks do not register. Its a hassle to be honest.

Im converting the video now and will upload it as soon as its done

Very nicely done! I'm going to have to play with FreeCAD!

I created a page skeleton for FreeCAD in the wiki. Would you mind adding what you know (and a link to your tutorial)?
