It's time again for a new GrblGru version V2.0.0 (download https://goo.gl/quFpdZ)
After watching a lot tutorials from professional CAM programs I've revised and cleaned up my complete program. So I've added a new 2D-Editor, which will be the base of the planned CAM functions. At the moment only a few simple functions are available and functions like 'Pockets' and 'Holding Tabs' are still missing. But I'm confident to add them in the next time.

If you have an older GrblGru Version installed, please select 'menu/extras/original factory settings' after the installation. In the attached video I would like to give you a short overview about the new 2D functions.

Have fun with GrblGru

hello, I know I am late in view of the new version 2.0. I would like to post a message and for the small French who uses your great software to add the French language file option. it's true that it's work to translate the file. I hope I have done my best . there is text that is not reflected in the software and I is not found in the language file. there would be there a different text file for eg tutorials files? could you explain the basic structure desired in the language file to be clean thank you for your work.

I guess for next version it will be enough to add translations of just what you have added ?

That looks great !
Sorry, if there is still some text, which is not taken from the language file. This is the first try with more then one language and because the program is still alive, it is expected that there is not all text available in every language. But I'm sure to get a good base after adding your translation to the actual language file. I will do that for the next version.
Also I will send you a PM with details about the language structure in the following days.

Thank you very much for your help !

Hello and thank you for adding to the list of freeware programs that are available. I downloaded your 7z file, unzipped it, (after downloading an unzip program that would do the job and installing it) and it unzipped. All the samples appear to be there, and the install program as well. The install program, however will not run. Do I need to do anything other than just tell it to run? Will it not work correctly with the 64 bit computer I have? I am running Windows7.
Thank you.

Thanks for giving GrblGru a try.

To be honest, at the moment I have no idea what's going wrong. The setup now is a proffesional software, not my old selfmade setup. Many people have started the setup without any problems. I checked it many times with an old XP and also with my actual Win7 64 bit system.

After downloading and unzipping GrblGru.7z there must be one folder 'GrblGru' with a subfolder 'Examples' and the file 'GrblGru-installer-V2.0.0.exe'. The size of the file must be 13.284 KB. After starting this file a sytem message comes up and you are asked if you allows that the software will change your system. This you have to answer with 'Yes'.

- Then the installer window should comes up. (see attached pic 1)

- After pressing the 'Install' button the window should show you pic 2.

- Pressing the 'Show details' will show you a list of all installed files (pic 3)

Please can you tell my exactly what happend if you start the file 'GrblGru-installer-V2.0.0.exe' ?
Please try also to start the installer with the right mouse context menu item 'Start as admin'.
Can you see the Installer program in the task manager ?

I really believe it is my problem. Not sure what yet, but I also downloaded your clockit program and it also will not run. They both unzip alright, but will not run. From your post, the file size is correct. Have to get more time to try, but right after lunch, I need to go out and mess with all this snow. Yeay! I like the snow. Everything is so bright. Really helps these northern Illinois winters. Computer can wait.

SmokyRick: As a thought, what kind of virus scanner stuff do you have installed? Wondering if it's incorrectly thinking there's something wrong with GrblGru, so stopping it from running. Maybe there's a quarantine or error log or something that can be checked? :)

The System error log could be checked too, as any program failing to run might show up there as well.

@AnonymousPerson
Thanks for your tip. May be the virus scanner don't like me.

@SmokyRick
I've made a testinstaller, which I can attached direct with the post. Rename txt to exe. The installer will only install 2 of the GrblGru files. This will give us information if there is a problem with the unzipper, the transfer with dropbox or the installer itself.

But at first, enjoy the first snow :)

Thank you.

Have you tried to unzip into a file on your desktop and then going to that desktop file, right click on the executable and run as administrator?

It would appear that AnonymousPerson called it correctly. The virus detector (Avast) is what was causing the problem. I need to disable it while I start or run these programs. For whatever reason, it will not allow them to run while it is on. They seem to work well with the Avast turned off, however. Now i just need time to learn the programs so I can use them to their fullest.
Thanks for the replies,
SmokyRick
