The 1st digit of the version number is the main version. It is only changed if something very important has changed.
The 2nd digit is the current released version.
The 3rd digit is only available for beta versions (not yet released trial versions)

V3.48 is larger (i.e. newer) than V3.45.(13).
This means that V3.48 should work for you. :)

Release notes V3.49

once again I would like to announce a new version of my program GrblGru.
The attached video "From Carving to Inlay (part 2)" this time concerns the creation of raised text.
The reworked function "Pocket Contour parallel" for machining pockets with islands thus provides the basis
for the production of inlays, which however can only be presented in the next version.

Nevertheless I hope that there is already something interesting for some of you.

Have fun with GrblGru

I love the V carve videos and have been trying to implement them on my router lathe. I downloaded some text from F-engrave and managed to project it onto the 4th axis OK. Unfortunately "Vcarve" mode does not support transformation "Projection".
If I try cutting the projected text from F-engrave the tool follows the text outline, resulting in a poor result.

Is it possible to project the V carve text or alternatively get the tool to follow the centre line of the TTF font?

Projection should now work in the new beta version V3.49.4.
But you have to load a suitable STL part before, so that the font or whatever can be projected on it. It should also work on turned parts that are not cylindrical.
