Anyone speak German?

Post by WillAdams » Wed Mar 18, 2015 2:08 pm

There's apparently a G-code controller: http://www.jtronics.de/151-steuersoftwa ... v1-03.html which seems to only be available in German.

Anyone care to write up a bit on it for the wiki? (it could be in German if there's no hope of getting a translated version of the software)

It's an g-codesender for Grbl and TinyG, but also showing the toolpath.
The last version is from 2/2014 and his forum looks not really 'alive'. Found a few english conversation here:

Thanks!

I broke down and added a Foreign Language section w/ German sub-section for it --- that at least matches the sort of thing we're doing on the Vendor pages.

Still kind of surprised to've recently found a number of different G-code senders to add to the wiki --- old stuff, but interesting, esp. given the (computer) languages involved.

When you look at the screenshots in the link you provided the software is running in English language, also during installation of the software you can choose between English, French, German, Russian and Spanish language.

However I'm not able to run the software because it closes with an error message after starting it (tried with Windows 8.1. running in a virtual machine on a Mac). Because I don't have a CNC machine yet I wouldn't be able to test the software anyway.

On their forum the developer was talking about a new version of his software but he remained silent about that since March 2014, in August 2014 someone was asking if the software is still in development but there wasn't an answer from anyone.
