Fusion 360 Post Processor

Post by scott216 » Sat May 02, 2015 2:03 am

I took the grbl post processor that comes with Fusion and modified it for Shapeoko. I got rid of the G28 command and replaced it with a z-axis move to the clearance height. I also moved the code that sets the work coordinates earlier in the program so the work coordinates are set before any move commands are sent. See attached.

So this will raise the Z height before traversing to the first feature? If so, thank you, and I need to try this ASAP. Anything I generate with Fusion will rapid to the first feature without lifting the Z.
Shapeoko2 #3702:
DW611, arduino uno, gshield v5, NEMA23's on X & dual Y, NEMA17 on Z with ACME rod, 9mm belts, Mean Well NES-350-24V power supply, re-inforced gantry rails.
Soon to have inventables spindle mount and 1M X axis.
