Hello,

I recently purchased a sparkfun shapeoko deluxe kit and it look great!, however, I cannot get universal gcode to work with the stepoko board. It is plugged in and the baud rate is set to the highest setting. I keep getting the response "GRBL has not finished loading". Someone please help

What sort of computer are you using? mac, pc, linux?

Also be sure you're selecting 115200 as the baud rate.

Thanks

Thanks - I flashed the stepoko board with Grbl and all connects to Universal Gcode Sender, however, I am not seeing any action from the motors. The motors don't move?? Please help.

Sounds as if you have the UGS aspect worked out. We’ll solve the lack of motion in your other thread: http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic ... 535#p57535

thanks! looks like I didn't have the estop wired correctly on the stepoko - so now the motors work! well, x-axis does and when I do a one inch movement - it goes almost six inches??

The length of movement is controlled by the electronic signals sent by the stepper drivers, which in turn are controlled by:

- microstepping setting on the micro-controller
- the settings for # of steps for each axis, $100, 101 and 102 (Grbl 0.9)
