It looks like there is a new build (#300) released on 7/18/2017. Yet, the download page still installs build #290. This is as of 12:40pm EST today.

I believe you only get the new version if you sign up through a link requesting your e-mail address --- the download link will be mailed to you if I understand correctly.

Any idea if Carbide Create works on a machine with a TinyG as a controller? Does that even matter?

Carbide Create should output standard G-code which TinyG will handle just fine.
