Recommendation for 5 axis CAD/CAM milling using NUM controll

Post by JoeClark » Mon Oct 30, 2017 1:16 pm

Hello Everyone,

I've started to learn Fusion 360 but it seems that this is not the ideal software for my application.

This is an example of work I need to mill. Typically I will be given a 3D file from Soildworks/Inventor and have to mill moulds.

What do you think is the best software for tool part creation? My controller is a NUM system

Is there anything that I should consider when choosing software?

Any Idea , Suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

You might have a look at DeskProto, they have a hobbyist license which is reasonable. Apart from that everything I've seen is in the thousands for 5 axis and I have zero experience in that area. DeskProto is limited in how the 4th and 5th axis work so make sure it's compatible with your machine.
