Easy way to create an import file for CarbideCreate?

Trying to make a flag... So I have to create 50 stars, and then I'm going to create the inverse as an inlay, so I have a LOT of stars to duplicate and place.. Because I need a specific size, I looked up the "official" American flag proportions, and calculated all the X/Y positions for each star (in inches) using Excel. I'd LOVE to be able to find some way to import the position list, and not have to duplicate each star, then individually copy and paste the X, Y, and size coordinates into Carbide Create... I have a programming background, so I looked at the .C2D file and found it looks like I may be able to create a program that might be able to create a C2D file, but that might be more trouble than just doing it manually (unless I end up having to do it more than once!!)

Is there any other software someone could recommend that has a feature like this... or a way to do it in CarbideCreate?

I worked up a file for this and posted it to the community forums, which are unfortunately down at the moment.

Easiest thing for vexillology is to find the image on Wikimedia/Wikipedia:

download it

open it in Inkscape

fix it so that it doesn't have any overlaps (in particular, select each star and ungroup until you have discrete paths and clones, then do Path | Object to Path and Path | Union until you have only outlines)

Select the strips and do Path | Stroke to Path and shorten the ones under the union.
