Upside down and Backwards

Post by DevinTX » Sat Jan 26, 2013 4:08 pm

After a year of health issues I have finished assembling my ShapeOko. I ran the "ShapeOko Test" and the print is upside down and backwards. I have tried different settings in $7 and can't seem to invert the Y axis correctly. Can someone offer a solution?

Rewrite the stepper motor. Swap one pair only of a stepper driver pair.

Can you post the output of your GRBL when you type in $ so we can see your settings?

If the software inversion does not work for you, another option is to invert the stepper motors by switching the wires. First turn off all of the power to the steppers (or you will fry your drivers), then reverse one pair of wires (e.g. switch locations of blue and red wires) for the axis you want to reverse.

Thank you for the quick response.

Here are my settings

Grbl 0.8a

$0 = 43.74 (x)
$1 = 43.74 (y)
$2 = 188.95 (z) ---Using ACME Screw
$3 = 30
$4 = 500
$6 = 0.10
$7 = 28 (00011100)
$8 = 50.00
$9 = 0.05

Thanks again for the help

$7 should be 96 to invert both X and Y axis.

TY

I ended up "flipping" the wires and that fixed the prob. I am now on to mounting my DW660 and we will see what happens
