Re: AtomCNC (GRBL Board)
@Atomsoft: Can you please let me know what kind of stepper motor you tested with your stepper driver?
ShapeOko uses 42BYGHM809 which has 1.68A current( given in datasheet). But I use 42BYGHM810 which has 2.4 A.
Thanks

I use these: 42BYGHM809 which indeed is 1.7A (DATASHEET)jahn wrote:@Atomsoft: Can you please let me know what kind of stepper motor you tested with your stepper driver?

But the A4988 is said to be able to push 2A PER COIL... (INFO)
So as long as you limit it to the 2A using the POTs im sure you could use it but you wont get the full torque or something... im not a motor guy

Re: AtomCNC (GRBL Board)
I'm using this motor (nema17 from phidgets) and it seems to run fine when I set the A4988 to 2A like AS suggested.jahn wrote:But I use 42BYGHM810 which has 2.4 A.

Hi @AtomSoft »
I was able to work getting one of you're boards into my budget.
So I've signed up and contributed to the IndieGoGo.
I think this will benefit both of us, as I get what looks like a well constructed board and you get some cash flow.
