on 8/25/2012 i finally received the indiegogo funds. I did not change any of my info with them. So that should prove it was purely their error. They could have at least waived some fees ... but no.. :(

Was sent a copy of the docs, since the URL doesn't work:

http://atomsofttech.com/downloads/AtomCNC.pdf

Received permission to upload it to the wiki, so it's linked on the AtomCNC page --- anyone who has any useful tips / information, please post it there.

After reading through it, my understanding is:

- the board can be powered by USB for purposes of the computer interfacing w/ it / it running, but not moving the motors
- there's a separate power lead to connect the 24v 5a power supply to which will provide power to the motors
- there's a pass-through connection for 110v AC which the board is able to switch on and off so as to power / control the spindle

Still not getting where to plug in a fan, but will have to re-read them.

Apparently one would also need:
1) http://atomsofttech.com/AtomCNC/an144sw.zip
2) http://atomsofttech.com/AtomCNC/AtomCNC_WIN.zip

But I don't see how to post .zip archives. Could we please get these files posted on the wiki?

AtomSoft created that board and all the documentation, etc to go with it. At one point he was trying to sell his ShapeOko and it seems as though he hasn't been around here in quite a while, but looks like he may have seen your requests.

Check his site here: http://atomsoft.wordpress.com/2013/01/14/atomcnc/

Alright, I have read the docs several times, and managed to pick up washers, zip ties and wiring so that I could build this (still need to get 2 more brackets so as to be able to mount it securely at all corners), so it's assembled (modulo plugging in the fan attached to the power supply and sourcing a ``highly recommended'' fan and stand-offs for the board itself) --- had to borrow Lego bricks from my kids to make an enclosure.

Unfortunately, the drivers didn't install into my machine running Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, and I don't see it when I plug it into my daughter's MacBook and try Universal-G-Code-Sender by Will Winder (all I see are dev.<foo>.Bluetooth-<bar> entries in the drop down).

Was sent a new .zip archive which worked once I uninstalled the old drivers and tried again:

in case anyone else needs them.

And it lives! (again) --- see the new entry at:

(anyone know how to resize images here?)

I added a new version of the manual which has the drivers embedded in it to the wiki.

Also uploading a copy here for posterity's sake.
