I know enough to not trust everything you read on the interwebs but looking at this page:
http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread. ... -and-Lexan

It sure looks like Delrin wins in every category that matters. Tensile Strength (Pull until break) is the only "non appearance" category that Polycarbonate wins and the V wheels are in compression, not tension.
Shapeoko #Classified some of the bolts may be original parts.
Shapeoko 1 # ???? Stainless plates, still in the box.
Shapeoko 2 # 3926 not stock
Shapeoko 3 # 0003

The last time this came up we weighed in favourably for Delrin as well, supported by this reference: http://www.machinist-materials.com/comp ... astics.htm (linked to from the Materials:Plastics section of the wiki).

Yeah, I don't know why OpenBuilds say that PC is better than POM, because it isn't, but you'll also notice that those V-wheels are for V-slot only -- they don't have a V groove at all.

I agree with the comments here that delrin is better then polycarbonate -- at least with the delrin and polycarbonate parts I am have used in the past.

Also just wanted to point out they do have a V-wheel that would be compatable with makerslide if anyone is interested in trying it out. If anyone does I would be interested to hear their expereinces.
