Premature order

Post by Junior483 » Sun Oct 12, 2014 8:01 pm

Good day. New to the forums. I am really enjoying seeing what everyone is doing and all the projects displayed.

I am new to CNC. Brand new. I just ordered a Shapeoko 2 Full Kit. Then I read about the big announcement later this month.

What to do?

Cancel and wait or leave as is?

Thanks in advance

Few post older than mine. Metalli445 was having the same regrets. Nothing confirmed.

I'm certainly not in the know, but it could be a 3D printer, or a Laser Cutter, or attachments/retrofit for the shapeoko. Not necessarily version 3.0.

And there's this post where Edward mentions a S3. Not the one from April 1st because that didn't have any custom plates...

He meant S2, I'm sure.

We'll find out tomorrow, but I'd guess the word "big" is not accidentally in the tweet twice. Perhaps it is an upsized SO2 with longer XY rails.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that the announcement is an Inventables announcement. Shapeoko has nothing to announce.

However, we've gotten some interesting ideas out of guessing games, so here's some fodder:

Inventables announcement is of a 3D printer kit along the lines of an Ordbot
