My guess is that is is a small enclosed CNC router similar to the othermill, but that is just a guess. https://othermachine.co/

Given their request to "carve" some time to watch the announcement, I'd say it was not a 3D printer, nor a laser, but some sort of CNC milling machine.

I'd forgotten about the ``carve'' aspect --- in that case, I change my guess to an update / revision of Easel.

Wouldn't that be anticlimactic? Everyone seems to be expecting a new machine.

a small enclosed CNC router
Would love an enclosed option, such as the Carbide. I really don't want to build anything.

In one of their posts, they mentioned that they have been working on it for over a year, so I doubt it is an Easel update. Guess we'll just have to wait until tomorrow morning!

"Making" & "Carve" were both in bold and it doesn't envolve Shapeoko. I'm guessing software.

I'm sticking with my theory as posted on another thread, which is that I think it might be configurable packages for the Shapeoko. From what I have seen, that has been one of the most requested things on the Inventables site. As well as the fact that today is the same day the Shapeoko 2 was announced last year.

"Carvey"? That seems like something my 4 year old nephew would call my CNC machine. Anywho, it'll be interesting to see if this takes off to the same extent as the SO.
