Fixed base dust collection for Shapeoko 2

Post by polatype » Wed Mar 04, 2015 2:05 pm

Has anyone made a fixed base dust collection system for the Shapeoko? I miss it a lot after working with the Gerber Dimension 200 years ago. Here´s a preview of how I (hopefully) will construct something similar for my machine Image

This dust collector will not move up and down with the Z-axis WillAdams, instead stay directly on top of the material while cutting pressing it down..

My apologies. It's been done, but I'm just not finding it at the moment.

I'd've thought that I linked it here: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/Dust_Shoe but I'm not seeing it.

Doing image searches on "dust" and "vacuum" isn't working for some reason either. Should you find anything, please post back here, or update the wiki.

Might be linked from the Spindles page....

Thanks.

I edited the description to add the note that it was fixed in place and added an additional bullet for fixed linking back here.
