Banggood...

Post by bharbour » Thu Mar 19, 2015 5:58 pm

I don't know if any of you have ordered from Banggood, but beware if you order from them. I ordered a quad copter from them and it was supposedly shipped Feb 5th...haven't' seen the thing and it's been about 42 days. I've ordered lots of stuff from China through eBay and have never waited very long for the items. I guess I might have lost my money. Just venting, but it might prevent some of you from going through the same thing!

I have ordered in the past and things have been fairly timely. Other than shipping my order in two parts, everything was good.
Fingers crossed that yours gets to you soon!

Haven't used banggood yet, but I've ordered a bunch of stuff off AliExpress with no issues.

I have had reasonable success with Banggood and AliExpress, except when I had to make a claim against an AliExpress seller. If you thought that eBay's dispute resolution process was bad, just wait until you have to deal with the joke that is AliExpress's.

Well, you did order right before the chinese new year... their festivals last for weeks and businesses shut down, then they have to work through the backlog that was created while they were out.

I avoid ordering anything from china this time of year.

Maybe that's it. 42 days is an aweful long time to wait!

I've made a few small orders with Banggood, and they've all gone OK. On some items, there is an option to pay a bit more and have the item ship from the US (useful assuming you're in the US/North America.)

They are refunding my money. At least customer service is good! Shame that the timing of shipping is such a hit or miss thing with items coming from China. I found a US supplier of the virtually same mini quad copter. Shipping will only take a few days.
