Jerky motion

Post by Fredendall » Wed Oct 07, 2015 4:20 am

So I started my first project and when I jog or when it's not actually cutting during the project everything moves fine, but when it's cutting all the motion is jerky in all directions. Searched on the forum a tried a few things with no luck, then I noticed that the jerking was perfectly timed with the log window loading code. I closed the log window and presto full speed ahead. I'm just posting this as info for anyone having the same issue but the steering don't seem to affect it.

Guessing this is for Carbide Motion? :)

It might be interesting to see if this happens with other G-code senders too...

Is you com port set to 8-N-1 115200?

What is the size of the G-Code file you are trying to cut?

Are you using Carbide Motion software?

Have you tried any other G-Code sender such as Chilipeppr or UGS?
