Onekk: Yes I posted it on github earlier this evening. And I got it working now :)

twforeman: I installed it correctly, it's a copy paste operation so no chance of me messing that up:p

Turns out it was a Xorg problem after all. see https://github.com/vlachoudis/bCNC/issues/250

I ran this behemoth of a command, to downgrade Xorg, and that did the trick :)

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-lts-utopic libqt5gui5 libgles1-mesa-lts-utopic libgles2-mesa-lts-utopic libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-utopic libgl1-mesa-glx-lts-utopic:i386 libglapi-mesa-lts-utopic:i386 libegl1-mesa-drivers-lts-utopic
I find it suspicious that the guy with the same problem as me also had a Lenovo thinkpad. I had this on both my Lenovo thinkpad and thinkcentre..

bCNC is an actively developed program, it works even on my Olimex board (similar to Raspberry Pi) like a charm.
The Github page is very frequented by the developers and the author is very capable, said so I'm happy you solved you problem.

Happy work with bCNC.

Is it the unknown gcode command? I didn't have any luck with it either, but I think it's because it doesn't understand the T command and it automatically stops.

If you're ok doing so, please report the problem in the bCNC "Issues" area:

https://github.com/vlachoudis/bCNC/issues/new

The main developer for bCNC is pretty responsive, and answers/fixes stuff, including replying here when it makes sense to. :)
