SuperPID arrived with a nice surprise...

Post by fredfow3 » Sat Oct 29, 2016 9:17 pm

Hey all,

Got the SuperPID from down under today, and am excited about getting it running.

I had ordered it as soon as Will A. posted a notice about the October Anniversary sale and got this email soon after.

Hello Fred,
Thank you for your Super-PID order.
During October to celebrate Super-PID's 6th Birthday we have a 15% discount sale for Super-PID and all accessories.
Your order has accidentally received an additional 15% discount on your Super-PID. Caused by a computing error in the shopping cart. This computing error is now fixed.
We are happy to honour this total 30% discount for your Super-PID. Lucky that you ordered when you did!! :)
Thank you.

Wow! That is a company with real integrity! I never would have known about the error, they could have charged me normal price. It is very refreshing to deal with above-board enterprises...

In any case, with my 611 router and SuperPID in hand, I head to the electronics workbench to mate the two.

Anyone have a good enclosure plan for these?

There's at least one enclosure for a SuperPID listed at: ... Enclosures

Just in case it helps you with your enclosure....i ended up relocating the display with some generic jumpers from Frys in the arduino section
It sure makes placing the unit easier. Then I had a friend print me out a bezel to mount the display

You can see the cable extensions here:

Love that display relocation. That's been my plan for if I ever get off my butt and make an actual electronics enclosure for my S3. :)
