Rapid Rate

Post by Jeff » Sun Mar 10, 2019 11:58 am

In Vcarve pro there is a time estimator . it needs to know that the Rapid Rate of the machine is.
Where can I find out what that would be for the Shapeoko XXL.
Thanks Jeff

This is a setting in Grbl.

The defaults for the Shapeoko 3 running Grbl 0.9 are at: https://docs.carbide3d.com/software-faq ... -settings/

You can check your specific machine / version by connecting to it, opening the Log, then sending $$ and checking the log.

That link is probably good for some one that knows what all that means. If that is what it takes to find the rapid motion of the machine then I am out of luck.
I was hoping that is was just a # that someone knows.

$110=5000.000 (x max rate, mm/min)

5000 mm/min

Not that difficult...

That's the "default" value. It may be different on the machine.

The best way to know for sure is to open the terminal and send $$ to get the settings and see what $110 is set to.
