Dewalt 611 - Is it possible to fix runout problem?

My 611 runout is pretty shocking (0.005" at the collect) and I was wondering if it is possible to correct this in any way as it makes it pretty much impossible to do any fine detail carving.

You can order new bearing parts and put them in. It will make it run much smoother

I wouldn't think new bearings would make much of a difference to the runout. Looking at the exploded diagram I think it's probably just that the rotor is slightly bent and there isn't much that can be done about it short of rolling the dice and getting another one.

If you got the router from Carbide 3D, let us know at support@carbide3d.com and we'll swap it out.

If you got it somewhere else, my suggestion would be to exchange it if new enough. If not, set it aside for hand-held use and get a second? Maybe try a Makita or one of its clones? (Considering an MLCS Rocky 30 myself).

I did get it from Carbide, it would be awesome if you could swap it out as it's probably still within spec.
I'll email support, makes me feel a bit better for missing out on the free one by not waiting for the Black Friday period.

Got my new router, and it is much improved, ~1/4 the runout of the original!
