I will try and post some G-code for these.
I might get to it tonight but it may be tomorrow before I can get it done.
You said that you would like to use a 1/8" two flute endmill. (That's what I use)
Questions:
1. Feed speed (I run 1500 mm/min with a DW660)
2. Plunge speed (I like to use 200 mm/min)
3. Depth per pass (I use 1/16")
4. Where would you like to start (I start in the middle but any corner is also possible)

Middle sounds fine --- not sure 'bout the rest, using a Dremel 4000, but will be able to adjust.

Trying to plot the G-code by hand, but am mystified by the circle code.

Ok here is the G-Code for a single DW660 mount.
It is set to MM measurement.
It assumes that you are starting in the center of a 100x100mm square of a 10mm thick material.
The feed speed is 500 mm/min with a 200 mm/min plunge. (This should work with a Dremel 4000 but still may be too fast)
1/8" 2 flute bit with a 1/16" pass depth.
There are 3D tabs built into the G-code.
This G-Code is for Mach3 but if it throws errors I have hundreds of post processors available, I just don't know which one will work with your setup.

which seems to work, except 2 out of 3 times, the gantry goes crashing into one corner, even after testing and zeroing it w/:

Tried to find a specific set of settings to cut HDPE w/o any success. Did eventually manage to begin a cut, but it kept drifting on the Y-axis, resulting in staggered cuts --- speeding up the dremel seemed to help, but I finally had to kill the job and call it a night.

Any thoughts /suggestions?

Try a shallower cut. Drifting is the result of missed steps, which typically happen when the spindle can't keep up with the demands of the job. As the spindle speed goes down, the stepper torque needed goes up.

For example, with an 1/8" end mill cutting Baltic birch plywood at a 0.7mm depth per pass, I will miss steps at 800mm/min, but not at 700. I'm still using the stock spindle, but it's feeling pretty used up. I have a DW660 on the way. I expect it'll help considerably.

The line N110G71G91.1 near the top of IC's file is the problem. You need to remove G91.1 (i.e. change to N110G71) for Grbl to behave correctly. Without the change, I saw was the spindle move down to lower left exceeding the bounds of the available area. Tested with Grbl 0.8c.
