and thought it was pretty ingenious (though pricey) --- I'd love to see a way to design an object so that one could control the colour breaks (maybe print two parts? One could be a waste or scrap to use up excess colour at a colour transition?)

I have some of the wood-plastic, but I've not used it yet. Aluminium and Polypropylene (PP?) sounds interesting.
