A refined version of this coupled with that audodesk software that enables you to make 3D meshes from photos sounds like a very exciting and simple way to make usefull stuff for all of us with crappy modeling skills xD

Yeah, that is cool. Some good ideas in there. Nothing revolutionary, but definitely some intelligent combinations of existing concepts.

If they include CNC'd materials as well (not just 3D printing ones), it would have even more practical applications. :)

A lot of those 'holders' are completely useless, though...

Why 'encapsulate' a cup like they do?
I'd have the holder fit snugly around the vup, and leave a slot in the side for the handle. But then again, I like to be able to reach the handle...
