Woot! Some progress.. finally!
Buildlog Stepper Driver + Arduino

Dual Y
Improbable Construct's sweet Z-axis upgrade
vents under and on the side of the power supply

Not bad for my 2nd attempt, although I need to figure out why the text came out inverted vertically.

Great!
The axis can be reversed by switching a pair of wires: http://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php/ ... the_Motors
or tweaking Grbl settings.

Re: ShapeOko #268
The easiest way is the wire swap.
Swap (only) one pair on each of the y motors.
That should get you running the correct direction.

Easy is good. I guess I had a 50/50 chance when I picked which Y stepper to flip.
Endstop/home switches next I think. Those wires should be perpendicular to the stepper cables in the case, correct?

Re: ShapeOko #268
Looks good. Where did you get that nice case?
Re: ShapeOko #268
I bought it off of Allied Electronics. I had it up for sale ages ago with no takers, so I put it to use with the current build.

Yep. Time for another yearly update. Chuckle. Done with school and the family was out of the house. I decided to make some noise.
I finally managed to cut something; beyond a few errors and a mess I'm happy with my first attempt. It's nothing useful, just playing with the workflow. Inkscape to MakerCam to Grbl Controller running on a Pi. I'm still not having any luck getting the Pi to work with the touch screen monitor, but it works well enough through VNC on my iPad.
Time to catch up on the threads.
Now I'd like to extend the X and Y axis, do a better job of getting the rig square, incorporate a vacuum system/shields and wire in my limit switches.
Psyched. I'm glad it rained today, otherwise I would have been doing yard work.
