Youtube video for wiring up hot end

Post by WillAdams » Thu May 22, 2014 1:25 am

Finally managed to find this video: ... e-CZQOgPAA

and to watch it.

Thought it was interesting, and presented a nice appearance for the hot end --- anyone tried this technique?

I don't see what's special about the "technique". He puts the resistor in its hole, he puts the thermistor in its hole, done. The only notable things are that he bends the leads of the resistor in a funny shape that allows him to use alligator clips (not sure why), and that he uses thermal grease on the thermistor, not high-temperature silicone (silicone would be safer: a thermistor falling out is the easiest way to start a fire with nothing but a 3D printer).
