My friends,
I had taken a break for a while on my CNC machine with all the frustration trying to get TinyG going and then BBB + BeBoPr+ and LinuxCNC.
To my delight I see in this thread that our Leader has taken the plunge and has made some progress.
I am eagerly searching to see what was done and how it was configure to rebirth my Customized ShapeOko with a whack of upgraded parts.
Thank you!

Re: Beagleboneblack and EMC
ShapeOko #1508, TinyG Controller, Dual Y, ACME Z-Axis, MeanWell(S-350-24v), NEMA 23's, 1m Squared t-slot table, OpenRail and the Original Z Makerslide and all Motor Plates...
Re: Beagleboneblack and EMC
I'm sure this post will never be seen, but I have looked everywhere to an answer to this question. What are you using to control to gShield, software side?
Re: Beagleboneblack and EMC
What gShield? He has a TinyG.

OH. I guess I overlooked that. Sorry!
Re: Beagleboneblack and EMC
Actually. I have a bebopr++ cape for my CNC. And I have tinyg separately. I went the bebopr route on the hope to eliminate the tinyg and the problems I have with that. I have to learn Linux CNC to get my bebopr working. Winter time here in Canada. CNC back in play soon.

Re: Beagleboneblack and EMC
LTMNO, have you had a chance to get your Shapeoko working with your BBB? I am using a BBB with BeBoPr++ to control a Shapeoko 2 I just put together. While it is working and I can carve with it, I don't have the second Y motor hooked up yet, and still have all the extra stuff from the 3-D printer example, like the A axis and the heaters.
I have attempted naively to strip out some of the 3-D printer extras, but every attempt so far has broken the configuration so LinuxCNC won't load it. I suppose it is time to study the LinuxCNC manuals and take a more informed approach to it.
