Y vibrates and tries to go in opposite ways of ea other

Post by philIam » Thu Dec 04, 2014 11:07 pm

I have checked the wiring for loose strands, loose screws, correct wiring I have everything wired. But maybe I'm wrong.

When I fixed the X axis from going in random directions from one direction, the Y axis stops working - it starts to fight each side in its direction.

Very frustrating. Definitely not the gboard bc i just bought a new one.

Please help!
Thanks!

Please disconnect the belts for Y.

Please check the wiring --- if you have a multimeter to test the continuity, please do so, if not, please consider getting one.

Then test each axis as noted at: http://docs.shapeoko.com/electronics.html

Z-Axis --- (Counterclockwise)
X-Axis --- (Counterclockwise)
Y-Axis --- (Both Clockwise and Counterclockwise) --- the one which is for the right side of the gantry should turn clockwise, the one for the left should turn counter-clockwise.

If things don't turn smoothly after testing the wiring contact your vendor(s) and see if they can puzzle out if you have a bad part.
