Hershey text resizing

Post by jureledinek » Mon Mar 05, 2018 5:01 pm

Greetings

I am having a problem with Hershey text. If I create some text in Inkscape, and leave it as it is, then import it to MakerCAM, it all works fine. But if I resize the text in Inkscape, then import to MakerCAM, the letters get all mixed up (see attachment).. Has anyone experienced such a problem?

Thank you and best regards

This is not specific to the Hershey Text, but when I am importing an SVG from Inkscape into makercam, if I import the SVG with a bunch of individual paths (like a bunch of circles for drilling holes or individual letters of a phrase. . .) they will come in in almost random places. What I learned (I think I read it online) is I have to select everything and then combine it into one path by using the [Path] ==> [Combine] command. Then things will load in their proper locations.
