Oh... and also I just got the touch pad but haven’t had time to mess with it yet since I’ve been traveling.

My thoughts on the touch prob you will love it after you figure out how to use it.
I found that there are not any good video on how to use it if you are doing too changes.
Also There is nothing said about what happens to the Z height if you use double sided tape.
What do you plan on cutting with your unit.
I also recommend you go to Vectric.com and down load a free trial version of Vcarve either desk top or pro and It is real easy to learn and use.

I’ll definitely have to get with you sometime as I am still trying to figure things out. I got the spindle off Amazon

Do you have the spindle hook up and have you used it to cut out something. What made you buy this spindle.

Jeff
It is hooked up and I did had some time to cut a few things with it and it is “Really Quite” .
I bought it for the obvious reason “noise” and of course curiosity. I have two younger kids my daughter still taking knaps in the afternoon so noise is important for me.

No modification but I had to use the shim that was meant for the makita, as for the collets I ordered imperial sizes for it .

I’ve forgot about the weight of the new spindle it’s heavier than the Dewalt so I did had to add spring to the Z axis. So far so good the springs seem to work out just fine for now
