Hi,
I wanted to make a custom cnc (drag knife) with Shapeoko parts, but it seems that Shapeoko uses a different aluminum extrusion now. I primarily wanted to use maker slide due to cost.
Since the aluminum extrusion changed, are the gantry plates compatible with makerslide or only the new aluminum extrusions?
Edit: Wait...it seems like I can’t purchase parts separately like Inventables X-Carve?
Does the Shapeoko no longer use Makerslide?

Correct. The Shapeoko 3 introduced a new, proprietary aluminum extrusion. https://wiki.shapeoko.com/index.php/Shapeoko_3#Drawings
I'm afraid that we're a small shop and à la carte parts sales aren't an option beyond out-of-warranty repairs.
