Yeah, Catalin, I had seen you post that in another thread and intended to get to it eventually. As you can see I've got a raft of issues to worry about at the moment. :?

John, here is a video of my bit coming down and touching my home-made touch plate. Don't worry about the battery holder and LED. Those are vestigial organs from when I was running a gShield and using an LED to set the Z zero because there wasn't an easy way to do that on grbl that I was aware of. You can see it come down, touch the plate, and stop, but that's it.

Second video shows the screen of my computer during the same process. It's a second run after a reset, but I promise, this is what it does every time. You can see the serial stream, sort of, and then at the end you see that I can jog the machine while it thinks it is still descending, but then when I hit Stop, the machine goes into feed hold (which I gather is the intended response).

Below is the serial output from a run (not including any of the jogging I did, this is just the output from when I hit the Start button until the bit touches the plate and stops moving.

The Auto-Level and Touch Plate works fine in Chilipeppr with GRBL 0.9, but I can't get the Touch Plate to work with with GRBL 1.1.

Anyone know how to get this working?
