Text problems

Postby ConnorRCoutu » Thu May 10, 2018 8:11 pm

Hey all,

I had a question on fonts, specifically the "Add Text" in design in Carbide Create. I am trying to plunge cut these letters, so I need to do specific cuts (i.e cut the insides of letters out first, then cut the outsides).

My question is do I need to "add text" for each letter, and size and line them all up individually? that seems to be the only way to do it, because I cannot select an individual letter... clicking on any of the vectors highlights the whole text I have added. It also isn't a way to do it... I still cannot cut out O's, Q's, e's, p's, R's.... you get the jist.... So what am I missing here?

You'll be able to select individual parts by breaking up the text into its individual geometry.

Select two or more objects including the text you want to be able to work with and perform a Boolean operation which will leave the text behind. See: http://docs.carbide3d.com/assembly/carb ... operations and / or https://www.shapeoko.com/wiki/index.php ... Operations
