X/Z drag chain getting stuck on the limit switch

Postby athmet » Thu Aug 02, 2018 1:18 am

When I move the X/Z all the way to the right, the drag chain is getting caught on the X limit switch, which is preventing it from going all the way over. Am I the only one running into this? Any suggested fixes?

You should be able to loosen the hardware and pull things into a desired alignment, then retighten to resolve this. Some folks have slightly bent up the X-axis drag chain bracket, others have put a couple of washers under it to move it out a bit.

Did you resolve the issue.. Putting the system together today and having the same problem. Also finding the bracket on the front hitting wall prior to the limit switch after moving the drag chain. Working the issue.. will let you know.

Yes. Issue resolved by removing one of the bolts from the drag chain, them moving it over further. Seems to be holding up just fine.

You should be able to loosen all the hardware connectors involved, pull things into a desired alignment, and then retighten them and it should work.

If the X-axis limit switch standoffs were shorter it would hit the belt anchors.
